Who is Maitreyi Amma? For the street-children in Benares, Amma is a Providential hand. Those meeting her for the first time are struck by the strength and femininity she emanates along with her comforting love and joy. An inner relationship with Christ finally led her to India. There, in 2002, she met the Great Master Śri Tathāta. Sharing since then the mission with him, Maitreyi Amma travels tirelessly throughout the world. In her darshans, she conveys to those coming to her the unconditional love of the Divine Mother and the courage to accomplish the way leading to Self-Realization.

Her teachings refer to those of Śri Tathāta and thus to the great Vedic tradition of the ancient Rishis. On the other hand they have the originality and the concrete flavor conferred by her being a Western woman.

Maitreyi Amma : a Special Soul gets incarnated

Maitreyi Amma was born in Normandy (France) in December 1952. Her birth was special. After several days, her parents noticed that she was blind. She recovered sight miraculously at the age of six and half.

She was a child full of joy, always feeling the Presence of the Divine, and as such she entered the adventure of life on earth. From an early age she wanted to share her perception that the Divine is real, that He is within us and all around.

Maitreyi Amma felt sure she would meet a great sage in India and that she was destined for an important mission, but as a teenager and adult she had important responsibilities which prevented her leaving France. Nevertheless she was blessed with Divine manifestations in all aspects of her life.
